Static analysis of thrust bearing with lubrication hole variation in an automobile's connecting rod

The research used the thrust bearing of a 1298cc automobile. thrust-bearing material was annealed stainless steel (SS 201) with tensile strength 685 MPa and yield 292 MPa. objective to obtain best static analysis results based on CAE software analysis. method included design stages, parameters, fixed geometry determination, loading, meshing settings, computation, result data. simulation were in form stress values, where maximum value three-hole, one-hole, non-hole bearings 227.2 MPa, 215.1 138 respectively. could be safest among all variations. had critical area 154 it absorb force 52.75% strength, lowest strain 8.531E-4, highest minimum safety factor 1.896.
